Lawrence J. Carpenter, M.D., received his medical degree from Tulane University Medical School in New Orleans, La. He then completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He has been a partner in one of Mobile’s foremost obstetrics and gynecology groups, Mobile Bay OBGYN, since 1998. Dr. Carpenter has furthered his training in the areas of weightloss medicine and skin care.

Along with being a fellow in the American Academy of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he holds memberships in the American Academy of Bariatric Physicians, the American Academy of Cosmetic Gynecologists and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons.

He lives in Mobile with his wife and two children.

With specialized education as a nurse practitioner, Mary Elizabeth Cordle, MSN, CRNP, is expertly trained in laser therapies for the treatment of brown spots, acne, wrinkle reduction, skin tightening, and skin resurfacing. She received her bachelor of nursing from Auburn University at Montgomery followed by a master of science in nursing from the University of South Alabama. She also has national certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
